When you assumed your occupancy, you found your apartment clean and ready to occupy. Except for painting, we ask that you leave it in the same condition as it was when you moved in. The following is an easy checklist to use to ensure prompt refund of your deposit when you vacate the apartment.

- Fulfill the terms of your lease.
- Give proper written 30 day notice of intent to vacate by the 1st day of the appropriate month.
- Return all keys and complete vacation by 12:00 noon on the last day of occupancy.
- Provide us with a forwarding address.
- Any storage lockers (if applicable) must be emptied and cleaned.
- Do not leave any furniture or debris in your apartment, on the grounds or by the dumpster/garbage area.
- Make sure the following items are done before you leave or minimum charges may be assessed.
Kitchen
- Wipe down exterior and interior of all cabinetry
- Remove any contact paper properly (if applies)
- Clean refrigerator inside and out
- Clean freezer inside and out
- Clean sink and countertop
- Clean and mop floor
- Clean stove top
- Clean inside of oven
- Clean or replace all 4 drip pans
- Wash windows and wipe down window sills
Bathrooms
- Wipe down medicine cabinet inside and out
- Clean vanity top and inside cabinetry
- Clean toilet inside and out
- Clean tub and surrounding tile
- Clean and mop floor
- Replace towel bar if broken or missing
- Replace toilet paper holder if broken or missing
- Wash windows and wipe down window sills
Living/Dining Room
- Replace any broken vertical blind slats
- Replace any missing or damaged blinds
- Wash a/c filter, dry, and put back
- Leave a/c remote
- Wipe down ceiling fan including blades
- Wash windows and wipe down window sills
Bedrooms
- Replace any missing or damaged blinds
- Replace any broken vertical blind slats
- Clean closets
- Leave a/c remote if applicable
- Wash windows and wipe down window sills
Floors
- Sweep and damp mop all hardwood floors
- Vacuum and steam clean all carpeting
Miscellaneous
- All doors must be wiped down
- All Patio and Screen doors must be fully operational
- All screens must be free from tears and holes All door keys must be returned
- All Mailbox keys must be returned
- All light bulbs must be operational
